An Open Letter to Cool Parents

I started this blog to share some ideas I've had making my daughter's world an awesome place. Occasionally I will stray from this objective by including treats the cultured mommy and daddy might enjoy.

If you don't read to your child, your child will not be reading to you...

...and that may not seem like a big deal until you're stuck in a nursing home, pleading to see your grandchildren.

Here is a short list that includes a few of the best children's books of all time.

The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery - this deluxe pop up edition is honestly as close to an heirloom children's book as it gets.
Arlene Sardine by Chris Raschka - this book is informative and breaches the subject of death non-chalantly.
Dr. DeSoto by William Steig - so it's about a world famous mouse dentist and it delivers.
Skippy John Jones by Judy Schachner - It's about a cat that thinks it's a Chihuhua,  or at least fantasizes about being one.
Madeline by Ludwig Bermelans - About the eponymous little french girl, raised by nuns.
Anything by Roald Dahl - they're all good.
